On the eleven day, of the eleven month a memorial day is observed in the Commonwealth countries, and also in many non-Commonwealth countries, like Belgium, for instance, since the end of World War I to remember those from the armed forces who have died in the line of duty. Although, World War I officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles on 28 June 1919, the Remembrance Day (also known as Poppy Day or Armistice Day) is observed on 11 November to recall the end of WWI hostilities on that date, in 1918 - hostilities formally ended "at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month," in accordance with the Armistice, signed by representatives of Germany and the Triple Entente (alliance linking Russia, France, and Britain) between 5:12 and 5:20 that morning - «at the 11th hour». The Remembrance day, this year (2013), 99 years after the beginning of the WWI, is of a different order, for me, at least. It is her time to move to meet me. She is coming to London!
There are unique moments in my existence in where one hour and a coffee, or even a warm hug in the middle of the night out of nowhere, with those special women, is more worthy than ten year of friendships, dinners and night-outs - M.! there are few great women in my life and you are one of those. Thank you, for letting me know you, and be a small but important chapter of it. It is invaluable! The Remembrance Day is a day to remember and commemorate.
